Craft Workshop: Attachment Styles to Write Complex Characters and Narrative Tone with Sherry Sidoti

An in-depth exploration of the Four Attachment Styles and how they manifest as coping strategies in our nature. We will discuss how each style “feels” on the inside, and “looks” on the outside, to write more nuance into our characters and relationships and manage the narrative tone of our prose.

About the event

Join Embodied Memoir Writing founder Sherry Sidoti in an exploration of the Four Attachment Styles, the challenges and blessings of each, and how they manifest as coping strategies in our nature, dependent on the circumstances, and in relationships. We will discuss how each style “feels” on the inside, and “looks and behaves” on the outside, so that we can richly layer more nuance to show complex relational dynamics inside our stories. We will explore how attachment styles show up in our prose, and how we may utilize them best to structure our narrative tone.
