About the event
Food has power. Embodied Memoir Writing is honored to host this generative workshop with Moira, where writers will begin by mining food-related memories to better understand their own perspectives. We'll explore techniques for rendering vivid scenes, settings, and characters. Writers will draw inspiration from excerpts by Michelle Zauner, Jessica Harris, Anthony Bourdain, and Carmen Maria Machado. Participants will leave feeling enthused about using their new skills in multisensory scene creation.

Moira Convey Silva is a writing instructor, consultant, editor, yoga teacher, mother and award-winning writer.
